One of the top priorities of the new DesignOps site is to improve our team page and collect information that will help with visibility, onboarding, planning, and events. Please click the link below and fill out the form so we have up-to-date information and can include you on our new team page. Please try to submit your information by Wednesday, August 28th.

Three main objectives for this new team page are to: 1.) Provide the ability to filter by location, title, and projects 2.) Create visual consistency 3.) Add fun facts that create shared connections.

This form has been taking our test group 5-10 minutes to complete. Don't overthink it, have fun! To be most efficient, have the following on hand before you begin:

  1. A good quality headshot
  2. A short bio (3-4 sentences)

** When creating your Avatar, be sure to keep 'Circle' selected for Avatar Style

See FAQs below for more detailed information and contact Miranda with any questions.

Product Design Directory FAQs

1. Why am I providing this information to DesignOps and what value does it bring?

One of the goals for DesignOps is to create transparency across design teams by improving design culture and communication. The information provided will allow team members to create connections and learn more about one another, understand what projects our team is working on, and allow DesignOps as well as leadership to make more informed decisions around resources, announcements and trainings.

2. Where is this information stored and who will have visibility to it?

This information is being collected on a paid Airtable account, owned by DesignOps. Currently, only DesignOps team members have access to this account, but information may be provided to leadership (headshots, future work interests) as requested. Not all information on this form will be displayed on the Design Team page. The Design Team page will include: name, title, location, domain, avatar, bio and fun facts.

3. How long will this take me?

It has taken our test group between 5 -10 minutes, depending on level of detail. Don't overthink it, have fun!

4. I can't finish this entire form right now, can I come back to it?

Currently, you cannot save and come back to the form. To be most efficient, try to have a good quality headshot easily accessible and your short bio written before you begin. If you submit information and need to make edits, please contact Miranda.

DesignOps is working to build functionality into the Design Team page so that you can update your information on the site. We will let you know when that feature is available.

5. What if I don't see my project / product listed?

That's okay! Things change quickly, and there are likely projects we aren't aware of. Please select the 'Other' option and provide your project / product name in the feedback field at the bottom of the form.

6. Projects and Areas of Future Work don't really apply to me. What should I do?

That's okay! We understand there are different roles across our team. Please select the 'None / Does not apply to me' option.

7.  What does good quality headshot mean?

Use your best judgement. Make sure your photo isn't cropped from a larger photo, is in color, and clearly shows your face (no sunglasses,etc.). We want to be able to tell it's you!

8.  What information should I include in my bio?

Make it your own! Some details you might include are: hometown, education, work experience, skills, achievements, family and interests. Don't write a novel. Please try to keep your bio to 3 or 4 sentences, or shorter! You can view more examples on the Service IT team page or here or here.

9. What if I want more Avatar options?

Please start with the basic options the Avatar creator provides. If you want to add distinguishing details in Photoshop (color your eyes, add an accessory) that is totally okay, just make sure you keep visual consistency and scale.

Please keep 'Circle' selected for Avatar Style.

10.  What if I don't want to provide fun facts?

That's okay! You can choose which fun facts you want to provide - all, some, or none!
