With the goal of bringing together multiple digital design groups across Dell, the Dell Design System team is currently collaborating with Services IT to combine our individual design systems into one. Both teams are optimistic about an outcome that will benefit many product teams across Dell Technologies. Since Services IT designers are committed to prototyping and building out UI components in Figma, and this will be one of our supported tools in the near future, we are looking for a few designers who are interested in getting an early Figma license and have availability to contribute some time towards component work. There is a present need for two or three designers to help build components for UI Kits in Figma as well as make edits to components in Adobe XD. You must contribute 8 hours a month towards component work. Please be sure to talk to your manager to ensure you have capacity for this extra work.
In the path forward for Figma as a fully supported tool for our team, we are working with leadership to get it funded as soon as we can. Updates will be provided as they are available.
