Attached are the results from the survey we sent out on the weekly recap meetings. We had 42 replies, which is the highest we’ve ever had on a survey. Let’s set this as our standard and continue to use the survey format as one way to give feedback.
On the downside:In its current state this meeting works in theory, but not in practice. We’re trying to do too much in too little time. If we extend the length of the meeting to accommodate more participation, this indicates more people would decline to join. In addition, the 8:30 am time for the US meeting conflicts with commute-time, dropping kids off at school and other scheduled meetings.
On the upside:The benefit and goal of this meeting is that it is an easy touchpoint for everyone to come together and share a slice of what they’re working on.Overall, the perceived value of this meeting was split about 50/50 with a little more than half of you reporting you do get value from the meeting.
Based on the survey responses, we will make some adjustments to the meeting and test it over the next 4-6 weeks. A new series invite was sent reflecting the new time.
Full survey questions/responses, below. However, there are a few comments that require a reply so those are listed here.

Unfortunately, there is no time that is convenient to all global offices. Vikas runs this meeting for APJ teammembers at a convenient time for those teams.
There is no expectation that team members should work on a Friday night. The APJ meeting would be more appropriate.
This meeting invite goes out to the global product design distro group. At one point it was called the Retro, however, it is not a true retro but a recap. The meeting is now called Weekly Recap.
